Heal the sick, wherever we go

I’ve preached and taught in several places, but as usual forgot to take pictures! Forgive me.

ICLC

In April, I spoke at Indian Christian Life Centre. I shared the gospel and several received Christ, including a Sikh wearing his turban. Thank you, Jesus. The pastors of ICLC, Moses and Alice Singh, were married in Sydney by Brian Houston. Small world! In May, I had the privilege of returning to Westside, Hamilton. The Spirit prompted me to call for those who needed their knees healed, and a dozen or so limped forward. Many were healed including Lisa who’d come with us to Nepal some years ago – she grinned as the Lord healed her, and even seemed to grow an inch as well!

Revival in En Hakkore

A week with Jesus changes you. None of the seventy who attended En Hakkore in March camp returned the same. The Lord healed James’s shoulder and Trevor’s ears. Faith’s arthritis left. He healed Meg’s stomach and Neil’s side of forty years of pain). He healed at least a dozen others. But that was just the beginning. Nestled among Otago’s ochre hills, just being there refreshes the soul. We were challenged to stay close to Jesus in increasingly difficult times. We prophesied over each other. We ministered healing and freedom. We made new friends. “We are not survivalists; we’re revivalists,” said Viv Anson. “Faith reveals the Kingdom,” said Linda Buttner. When Jesus sent the Spirit, he said, “I will not leave you as orphans.” Without Him, we’re orphans— with him, we’re family. “This is normal life,” said Brienne. Next year’s camp is already full.

Covid Pastor Ganga Khati, who led the large church on the terai where we held a recent school of healing, has died of Covid and gone to be with the Lord. We pray for his family and church, that the Lord encourages and strengthens them in their loss. Also, one of Pr Bhim’s church members faces a $4,000 hospital bill. Floods Now the monsoon has arrived, floods have devastated parts of Sindupalchowk - the area that suffered the earthquake epicentre. This is a video from Steve Bowkett, a Kiwi builder there right now. (Click on the pic). YWAMer Amar Shreshta organised another excellent school of healing for us there. He is helping take food to hungry people: “We are going to visit Melemchi (Sindupalchok). I heard from Pastor, now 100 family are migrated because of heavy flood, so now food is basic need. We Sindupalchok team and some church are together collecting fund to help.

Share the Gospel

I feel an increasing urgency to share Jesus. Time is short. Some years ago in Cuba, a pastor in Havana invited me and a Honduran evangelist to dinner. In their culture, many have servants. When their maid brought our first course, the evangelist asked her, “What’s your name?” “Maria.” “Maria, do you know Jesus?” “No.” “Would you like to?” “Yes.” And he led her in a prayer of salvation. Then she served the dinner.
