Doors open - and doors close

We launched JF Ministries in 2003, to preach the gospel throughout the world. When we moved to NZ in 2005, we established the NZ charity, which is now the main focus. We felt the UK charity had served its God-given purpose, and at the recent AGM in England, moved to close it. To thank our faithful trustees, we made a photo book of highlights.

The ongoing David saga

In July, I scrambled to get the MS to a dozen literary agents. Most replied saying the book doesn’t fit their plans (i.e. a rejection!) Three have yet to reply. Please pray if it’s the Lord’s will one will pick it up! If not, I plan to self-publish in November. Here is the proposed back cover copy:
Could you survive as a slave? Seeking to help orphans in Hebron, 19-year-old Ruby Archer finds herself in the time of David of Israel. Enslaved by the despicable Nabal, she must obey his every whim. When her attempt to return to the present fails, Nabal’s beautiful wife Abigail rescues her, but Ruby must embrace the violent culture to survive. Meanwhile, David flees from the tyrannical King Saul. Cornered in a cave by Saul’s men, David needs a miracle to escape. Does he have the courage? After Nabal’s death, Abigail and Ruby join David’s band of rebels, but Saul continues to hunt them like a “partridge in the mountains”. When David finally loses hope, can the women keep him from self- destruction? And will Ruby ever make it home?

Nepal News

Pastor Bhim with a group of new believers (looking rather shellshocked!) who recently joined Sabitha’s church in Kathmandu. The church has grown rapidly and needs land. Please continue to pray for our team organised by Brienne, who travel there in October to run schools of healing and other ministry.

Ministry resumes

I praise God teaching has picked up at last. I took the Freedom Course Awayday at LIFE Melbourne last weekend, where a group of enthusiasts received the Holy Spirit, and some were set free from demonic oppression. We had words of prophecy for all, and most were in tears. Thank you, Lord! LIFE Melbourne has an exciting future, having just purchased a new building by faith. I am due to speak on healing at St Alban’s, Christchurch on Sat 3rd Sept, at Elim, East Tamaki on 7th Sept, and at Equippers, Mosgiel on 30 Sept to 2 October (see events for details). Meanwhile, Bron & I are also assisting a Freedom course at our own LIFE South. Appreciate your prayers! Join us where you can.
