Rainbow Bible Guide

How to make your own:

1) Make the ribbons Buy 30cm-long ribbons in the seven colours of the rainbow. Glue or sew them into a cardboard or fabric tab 2cm wide in this order: red, yellow, violet, blue, orange, indigo, green. (It’s okay to overlap.) 2) Mark your Bible Insert the tab into the spine of your Bible. Put the red ribbon at the start of Genesis, the yellow at the start of Joshua, violet in Job, blue in Isaiah, orange in Matthew, indigo in the gospel of John, and green in Romans. 3) Start reading! Read a different part of the Bible each day. Mondays, use the red ribbon and read the Law: Genesis to Deuteronomy Tuesdays, (orange) read the synoptic gospels: Matthew, Mark, and Luke Wednesdays, (yellow) read the history: Joshua to Esther Thursdays, (green) read the letters: Romans to Jude Fridays, (blue) you read the prophets: Isaiah to Malachi Saturdays, (indigo) read the writings: Gospel of John, Acts, Revelation Sunday, (violet) read the poetry: Job to Songs

Great revelation

This refreshing way brings great revelation to the WHOLE Bible without being bogged down. I try to read 4 chapters each day and mark where I stop. Then I’ll read through the Old Testament in a year, and the New Testament twice. But you can read as much or as little as you want. Let me know how you get on! johnf@jfm.org.nz
Comments: “They have been such a blessing I want to share them around!” Sandy “The Bible is more alive to me now than before, everyday there's always something different and it's exciting, I just want to keep reading.” Vai “I find it has given me a freshness to reading the Bible. It allows me to see and discover things.” Barbara
“Brilliant resource.” “The first time I have ever really enjoyed reading the Bible.” “It has revitalised my Bible reading.” “I made lots to send to my family for Christmas.”
